The past 2 days, my family and I have experienced problem and unpleasant situation for having no home broadband internet connection. It was because I ignored the WARNING sign on top of the broadband router.  

On the 7th of July, our home broadband line was upgraded from Very high-speed Digital Subscriber Line (VDSL) to Fiber optic line. After the installer finished the enhancement of the internet line, I immediately tried to add an additional security to the computer network. With the old VDSL router, if ever I made a wrong configuration, I just press the reset button to restore the internet provider default settings. With the new Fiber router, I’ve made a wrong setting, pressed the reset button, and ignored the warning sign on top of it. Because of that incident, we’ve encountered problem and unpleasant situation with our home broadband internet.

Despite the unpleasant situation with our home broadband, the love, wisdom, and favor of God still prevailed. My bother-in-law is a professor, working from home, and needs a reliable internet connection for his class. I was worried that his class will be affected due to the problem, but God did not allowed it. God prompted me to ask for help from a relative that we’ve helped before for their child online class because they’ve experience internet connection problem too. Matthew 7:12, “The Golden Rule. Do to others whatever you would like them to do to you. This is the essence of all that is taught in the law and the prophets.”

On the 9th of July, the internet provider technician went to our home and asked what happen. I told him the truth, that I tried to add an additional security to our computer network, and pressed the reset button when I did wrong. He remained calm, told me not to do that again, and assisted me to do the configuration that I wanted. Now our home broadband speed was upgraded from 52.2mbps download and 13.0mbps upload, to 71 mbps download and 50mbps upload, with the security that I prefer. Indeed, when you confess the wrong things that you have done, you have peace of mind, and will be forgiven. Thank you Father God, you are always there for me. Your love never cease to amaze me.

In relation with the word WARNING, I believe God wants me to share his love and warning for everyone. We came here on earth individually, and will die individually. That is why we should be prepared individually for the time that we will have our last breath here on earth. Because when our physical body dies, there is only ONE thing will happen to our spiritual body: eternal life or death.

All of us are sinners, the wages for it is eternal death, as it is written in Romans 6:23, “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” We need to confess the things that we did wrong and flee from it, it is written in 1 John 1:19, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” God loves us so much, it is written in John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” The Heavenly Father wants us to have an eternal life with him, but it will only happen when we a personal relationship with Jesus Christ by believing and acknowledging Him as our only lord and saviour. Jesus is the only way for us to be saved, it is written in John 14:6, “Jesus told him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.’” Lastly, we will not be saved by doing good here on earth, it is written in Ephesians 2:8-9, “God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it.”

In conclusion, WARNING is a statement or event that indicates a possible or impending danger, problem, or other unpleasant situation. This is applicable to our daily lives and our life after here on earth.
